At the edge of an urban canal, a fisherman in a yellow oilskin jacket holds out his rod without much conviction, as if, once again, reality is not in his favor, as if, always already, the routine of returning without a single catch. isolated him from any form of solicitude. When he goes to the docks the next day, the fisherman is suddenly swept away by a wave that seems to follow him to the docks, a wave of the past that overwhelms him and plunges him into the abyss of memory. Pierre Watteyne offers us a dense and poetic story that questions the impact of memories on the present and the difficulties of overcoming them. A story in which the protagonist is reborn thanks to otherness.
